When you close your eyes and imagine yourself as the writer you always want to be, it’s easy to imagine only success and masterpieces; but that’s not the reality. For every hit song or masterpiece there’s likely a thousand or more songs that don’t make the cut.
But, without them, the success can’t be there. We HAVE to write bad music, there’s no shortcut. Today, I go over why it’s empowering to put less emphasis on quality in your music and how it will actually help you reach your musical goals, faster.
Here’s why you don’t want to miss this video:
- You learn why it’s important to have the right goals and mindset to have the outcome you desire.
- How putting less pressure on yourself will actually help you write better music and grow as an artist.
- How taking a bigger picture helps you contextualize where you are and what comes next
Does any of this resonate with you? It does for me. But when I stopped caring whether or not my music was good; I finally started thinking it was.
Let me know your thoughts down in the comments below the video. Let’s get a discussion going!
